Woda site received support from Mr. Gorges, who visited the plant’s sections and conducted a gap assessment on occupational health and safety systems. The consultant identified several gaps that need to be addressed. Employees received training on OHS hazards, hand tool safety, chemical management, and similar topics from a local expert. A total of 90-100 employees participated in the training.
On day three, the company had planned to provide awareness training on the ISO standard for top managers, as well as environmental aspect and risk assessment training for supervisors and team leaders. While all target groups were informed, only the second training was conducted. The company encourages all employees to be cooperative with Mr. Gorges and his requests. Alternatively, departments can assign another representative for the assessment of their department.
