The Deputy Governor of Shandong Province met with Oromia Regional State President Shimelis Abdisa for productive discussions on developing industrial parks, fostering educational collaborations, and strengthening ties between the two regions. Both parties agreed to finalize a Sister States Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) following additional discussions and a planned visit by President Shimelis to Shandong.
During the meeting, both leaders highlighted their previous visits to Woda and praised the company’s innovative work. They acknowledged Woda as a prime example of successful foreign direct investment (FDI) from Shandong to Oromia, setting a benchmark for future industrial partnerships.
Woda’s CEO, Steven, also participated in the meeting, emphasizing the company’s role as a bridge between Ethiopian and Shandong-based industrial collaborations.
