
This week ENA reported news on how Woda plans to relocate a manufacturing center from China and supply its products to Ethiopia and neighboring countries. The report includes the company, which entered the Ethiopian market in 2016, and has already started production of towers and cables for the domestic market.
It also mentioned that our main products- steel towers, aluminum conductor cables, and a facility for galvanization, the largest in East Africa. Woda Metal Industry is a global supplier to world-class telecom and power operators with over 15 years of tower manufacturing experience.
Woda Metal Industry plans to export at least 30 percent of its products, which are currently shipped from its headquarters in China to Ethiopia, Kenya, and other East African countries.
The company’s general manager Steven Cui believes Ethiopia is an attractive market for steel towers, cables, and other products such as smart devices, electric vehicles, tracking systems, batteries, and the tire business. Despite the challenges, Cui believes that Ethiopia has the potential to be an excellent place for investment, with its large and energetic working force and promising market. Woda Metal Industry’s investment in Ethiopia is a positive step towards economic growth and development.
